Sand Project

So here is one of the projects that I wrote about early that I wanted to do. I found this on www.Pinterest.com    and when you click on the pictures sometimes it will bring you to where the person got it from. This one comes from a blog House of Went Worth :  http://houseofwentworth.com/2010/11/25/vacation-memories/
I had two water bottles full of sand that I forgot to take picture of to show you. I'm sure you know what sand looks like in a cup hehe. One was from a year ago and the other this year. I added shells but found out that once the sand is pured in, it clovers and get in front of the shell no matter how hard you try not to. :o/
This is the glass vase that John and I picked.
I used Elmer's Opaque Acrylic Paint Markers.

I really like how easy it was to write on the glass. I wanted to use two different colors when I wrote the names of the beaches but after doing it I really didn't like the way it look. Not to mention my hand writing isn't the best. All I did was wet a paper towel and the paint came right off. Not to sure if I like how easy the paint came off. I was hoping it would be harder that way if I was to wipe down the glass years to come it won't wash right off. I used the markers on another glass and I'm going to try to wipe it off in a couple of days to see if it comes off really easy. If it does I will look for some better markers to use that will not come off.
I do like the light blue better.
So there it is for now. I guess I need to go to different beaches this year!!
